Front of House Staff

Job Summary
Reporting to the Food & Beverage leadership team, Front of House Staff are responsible for providing exceptional service to members and guests while supporting the daily operations of the Club’s Food & Beverage areas. Front of House positions may include service in the Lounge, Café, Banquets, Snack Shack, and other Club dining and event areas.
The successful candidate will be professional, personable, team-oriented, and committed to creating a positive experience for every member and guest.
Duties and Responsibilities
Member & Guest Service
- Provide friendly, professional, and attentive service to members and guests.
- Ensure member and guest satisfaction by responding to requests in a timely and courteous manner.
- Maintain a welcoming and professional presence while representing The Derrick Golf and Winter Club.
Food & Beverage Service
- Provide food and beverage service in accordance with Club standards and procedures.
- Assist with setting, serving, clearing, and resetting dining and event areas as required.
- Ensure the proper handling, cleaning, and storage of equipment, glassware, china, and silverware.
- Follow established opening, closing, cleaning, and sanitation procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional service area throughout the shift.
- Follow all applicable liquor service requirements and Club procedures.
Teamwork & Operations
- Work collaboratively with servers, bartenders, culinary staff, supervisors, managers, and other Club departments.
- Assist team members as required to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Complete assigned duties and responsibilities in a timely and professional manner.
- Be adaptable and willing to work in various Front of House areas based on operational needs.
Working Environment
- Fast-paced, team-oriented environment with a strong focus on member and guest service.
- Ability to remain professional and organized during busy periods.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events as required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and perform the physical requirements of the position.
Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Previous experience in food and beverage, hospitality, customer service, or a related environment is considered an asset.
- Previous serving experience is an asset for service focused positions.
- Previous experience in a private club, restaurant, banquet, or hospitality environment is considered an asset.
- ProServe certification is required.
